When the CEO speaks we all jump…
The development of CORE Cultural online modules – a fascinating insight into Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australia designed to create a greater awareness of the vast history and cultural heritage of First Australians – is a major milestone for AIATSIS.
Given the choice of running the training program through Edmore’s existing eStats platform or showcasing the new materials via the new Upside LMS the decision was easy – Upside – but the timescale was: “tomorrow please!”
Accordingly, we all got started and setup a new portal branded in AIATSIS colours and themes. The content (developed in Captivate) was very video heavy but worked perfectly first time around and after thorough testing of all 10 modules was released internally to AIATSIS staff the following day.
Charley Stanford-Smith, Head of HR at AIATSIS is delighted with progress commenting: “We are very pleased with the progress, management and utility of the new Learning Management System. Please, let your people know we’ve really appreciated the extra effort made to get the system up and running. You have been extraordinary in working with us, you’ve gone above and beyond. Thank you J”
Now that this urgent phase of making CORE Cultural available to AIATSIS staff is complete, it can be rolled out to wider APS users and certificates issued accordingly.
Moving forward AIATSIS are in control of their learning environment and are already planning to develop further courses for both internal and external usage.
